# TruJet has launched
TruJet has launched flight services from Hyderabad to Tirupati and Rajahmundry here on Sunday.
The maiden flight of the low-cost carrier Turbo Megha Airways Trujet flights, connecting Tier II cities in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, will take off from Hyderabad at 8 a.m. on July 12, taking passengers to Tirupati. A few days later, Rajahmundry and Chennai will also be added to the list, said actor Ramcharan Tej, who is Trujet’s brand ambassador.
Announcing this at a launch event, the actor, who is also a promoter of the company, said initial connectivity was being extended to Rajahmundry to help out devotees keen on taking a dip in the Godavari during the Pushkarams. Others present were the company’s directors – Vankayalapati Umesh and Prem Kumar.
“We are launching our services with two ATR-72 aircraft and will get at least five more over a period of time. Though we are a low-cost carrier, we will not compromise on service quality. We are the first to facilitate pick-up and drop services for passengers to and from the airports and provide free onboard dining too,” Mr. Ramcharan said.
Mr. Prem Kumar, who handles the commercial and financial functions, said the airline planned to add more destinations gradually. We are planning to add five more aircraft within a year and a half from now, depending upon the patronage. “We are focussing on Tier II cities as a low-cost carrier and will add Hubli, Mangalore, Chennai, Tuticorin, Coimbatore, Pune and Goa, starting from a base fare of Rs. 1,499,” he added.
